And Just Like That...

Another milestone has quickly approached us and it is bitter sweet. One in which we dreamed of and one in which we thought was going to be extra difficult. Difficult it was, as we had to endure this journey during a Worldwide Pandemic of Covid 19 and not in a traditional school setting. Difficult also, because we had to adapt quickly to a new way of teaching and learning without the daily supports of the everyday required mandates to help Tyler be the best student he knows how do be. To say the least, this process has shown us that Tyler is resilient, he perservered through the tough times and he continues to love.

In the book, you will learn that Tyler doesn't do well with change and we had to adapt to change quickly. We then ended the first chapter of education in a very non-traditional way, which was a change; and now we are entering the second chapter of education with uncertainty. A new school, new adults, new students, new building, new routines, new structures, new hallways, new norms, new bus and bus routes, everything new. In the midst of all the NEW, we were told that Tyler's best friend since pre-school has moved to another town and will not be going to middle school with him. OH-Boy! And Just Like That...everything around Tyler is changing drastically; however, HE IS WONDERFULLY MADE!
